Women in Mining is a professional group who educates Idaho students about mining’s contributions to modern life, about the science involved in mining, and to make mining career information accessible to students who may be interested in future careers in this growing field. They support teachers by providing educational activities for K-12 classrooms. In this session, teachers will learn about opportunities for guest speakers, and experience hands-on lab activities from cupcake mining in elementary classrooms to chemical engineering in high school classrooms.
