Reinvigorate your math teaching for grades 3-6 by exploring lesson structures that foster meaningful discourse to enhance number sense and problem-solving skills. This session introduces strategies using estimation tasks, “which one doesn't belong?” challenges, 3-Act Tasks, and "low floor, high ceiling" activities from YouCubed and the Mindset Mathematics books.

Target Audience: Educators teaching math in grades 3-6.

Expected Outcomes: Gain practical, engaging, and high-impact lesson structures to use throughout the school year. Participate in short math lessons and learn about free online resources for easy classroom integration. Leave with a toolkit that will make it easy to supplement any mathematics curriculum with these fun and engaging lesson structures.
