Join in a hands-on, how-to workshop on new climate variability lessons based on the University of Idaho's Idaho Climate-Economy Impacts Assessment. Through partnerships with Idaho Public Television, the Nature Conservancy, and NASA Earth to Sky Network, the Idaho Environmental Education Association worked with nine Idaho teachers to create grade-level units from 5th grade through high school. These lessons focus on the changes and challenges that are specific to Idaho and follow Idaho-specific science standards. We will review the specific place-based resources that inform these lessons and how to incorporate them confidently into your classroom.
