The Idaho Science & Engineering Fairs (IDSEF) provide high school students with an exciting opportunity to engage in original STEM research and present to an authentic audience. Not only that, but top projects can earn substantial financial awards and even the opportunity to represent Idaho in the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF)—the world’s most prestigious high school research competition—at no cost.

This year marks a new start for IDSEF, after being restructured as a joint offering from Idaho STEM Action Center and the Idaho STEM Ecosystem to increase alignment with ISEF and on-the-ground support for educators. In this session, you will learn about the revised structure of IDSEF, how to get your students involved in your region’s fair, and strategies/resources to help them meet the rigorous expectations of the International Rules for Pre-college Science Research (which govern both IDSEF and ISEF).
